Meet Brendan Gordon
Brendan is a stroke survivor who had his stroke about 8 years ago, he
was a Medic in the army and was medically discharged in 2012.
He then started a career in personal training qualifying with the
YMCA Fitness as a Class 4 Gym Instructor, before going on to become
an ARNI instructor (Acton for Rehabilitation of Neurological Injuries),
then on to qualify as a therapist on FES, APS.
He finds working with the Colne Stroke Group a wonderful
experience, watching members work hard to gain fitness, possibly
improve mobility and especially when the result is seeing a member
walk having initially arrived at group in a wheel chair, all within a
supportive, happy atmosphere.
